My mom taught me how to crochet when I was just 5. I started creating my own designs almost immediately and started selling my projects at local fairs when I was 7 years old. I love all kinds of crafts but fiber arts are my favorite. In my 20's I worked my way through graduate school crocheting hats, mittens, scarves, and various baby sets and selling them online and to friends and fellow students. Wanting to expand my skills, I bought "Knitting for Dummies" and taught myself. I still love creating new finished objects, writing patterns, and teaching kids to knit and crochet. Nothing is better than seeing the look on someone's face after they have made something someone can wear or use.
